NATURE → Overview
Nature itself could be a major threat to our survival particlary our weather. Heavy rain and flooding or landslip can cause severe damage to property and is often life threatening. ALSO of major interest at present is climate change. Is our natural weather getting warmer, wetter (or perhaps colder) and if so, what effect might these changes have both globally and here in the UK. If our climate is changing, how severe will this change be, and what effects might it have on or future survival?
There are also other natural events that might also impinge on our future survival. A major volcanic eruption that could black out the sky and pluge us into a prolonged "nuclear" winter. Perhaps a major earthquake or a tsunami. How any of these events might occur and how they might effect us, needs some consideration.
